Brrr... it's cold outside, as demonstrated by our newest members hat! Well, the pool was closed b/c of the tornado warnings Tuesday, but I hope to see everyone tonight despite the cold weather. No laughing you Northerners, we still have to swim outside!

10 fingers 10 toes

Jack Aden Jones was born around 12:15 this morning-February 23rd.
He tipped the scales at 10 lbs 7 oz. And I thought he would weigh in at 8 lbs 12 oz =)
Because of his size, he was delivered by C Section.

Baby Jones

Mark and Alison were spotted in the pool Monday afternoon despite her being past her due date. Our youngest team member is scheduled for delivery Friday.

We had a great BBQ yesterday, the weather was sunny and we had lots of food and drinks and a great time. Here is a group photo during our garden tour. Much thanks to chef Fitz and Kathleen for Hosting the event!!!

Great Practice!

Great practice Tuesday, we had 17 swimmers in the pool! The BBQ/ Shower is next Saturday, we have an RSVP from 18 people. If you haven't yet, sign up for a dish to share on the pool deck. See everyone there...

Rumors from the block

*Tom got a huge tattoo on his back
*17 swimmers showed up at practice last night despite the chilly weather
*The pump blew up at the Winter park YMCA and and old team mate Debi stopped by
*Alison and Mark's baby is due in just over 4 weeks
*The girls on the team have been outnumbering the boys
*There will be no white elephant gift exchange at the BBQ

MOO BBQ/ Baby shower

We would like to get together for an afternoon BBQ to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our newest team member- Jack Jones. Alison and Mark will be our guests of honor. Please feel free to bring your significant other. We will have a few fun games and lunch.
Gifts are not required, but if you would like to bring a little something they are registered at Target.

Thursday Practice

We had a nice holiday swim Thursday and Alison Brought cookies for when we were done.

It is a little chilly outside, but the water was nice. Hope to see everyone next Thursday.

Holiday Swim Schedule

We're only going to have practices on Thursday for the next two weeks.
The Y will be open all day on New Year's Day, we may have a casual
practice in the afternoon, check the blog for Details.

On the other days - Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year's Eve - the Y will be closed so practice will not be an option. Normal practice schedule will resume on January 3, 2007

Just a reminder. The 2008 registration forms are now on the Florida Masters site. In order to swim in any Masters competition, you need to be registered with USMS. Please use the link below to access our form. Fill it out, print it, and bring it to me along with your registration fee (please make checks out to Masters of Orlando) and you'll be all set.

Holiday Party

We had a great holiday party last night.
Thanks to Sean for hosting and to everyone for the goodies, and all the fun

-Paper plate awards were presented
-Teresa made some yummy rum and milk drink
-Virginia Tech Mark made a great Jello thing, but I don't think he eats Jello
-Sean made lots of delicious ziti
-The hot white elephant gift this year was a digital sudoku game
-Yuko wants us to keep her company at the lake swim despite brushing up against slimebo yesterday
-Diane took forever to set up the group photo, which should be posted too
-Everyone wore their paper hats this year
-Apparently they don't do white elephant gift exchanges in Japan

A great time was had by all!!!
