We have been invited to swim with Team Orlando at the meet if you are interested please e-mail the coach listed below!!!

On Oct. 27 Rollins College is hosting their annual swim meet vs Orlando area Masters.(anyone 18 and older). This is a high school format swim meet. Warm up begins at 12 noon and the meet starts at 1 pm. All pool and open water swimmers are encouraged to participate. The meet usually lasts till 2:30 pm and then we go out for a late lunch following. The order of events are as follows:

200 yd medley relay
200 free
50 free
200 IM
100 fly
10 min. break
100 free
100 back
500 free
100 breast
200 free relay

WOMEN PRECEDE THE MEN EVENTS!
You can swim 3 events including relays! Only 3 people per event and 3 relay teams allowed so sign up early to hold your spot!

Please email me as soon as possible as to the events you would like to swim.(cswimming@aol.com) A sign up sheet is also posted at the Aquatic Center.

World Record Swim

Congratulations swimmers on completing two new World Records: Yuko's 82 k lake swim and the 100k Relay. Unofficial certificates signed by Lucky are available at the lake and official certificates will be available after the records are certified.

What a fun weekend. So many stories. Thanks again to all of our volunteers, friends, and brave swimmers who entered the food chain. The relay was well represented by a mix of women and men. The oldest was 76 and the youngest was 9. Only two known mishaps. One fully clothed swimmer fell off the dock, and one swimmer got sick in the garbage can. No monsters or gators spotted. Amazingly, after her record, a little sleep and a meal of sushi and ice cream, Yuko swam with Jake and Lucky for the last lap of the relay swim.

This year the relay was about setting the distance record. Next time it will be about a speed record. Maybe men vs women, or two teams racing. Any ideas?

11:30PM World Record update Oct 13th

At 11:25 PM and nearly 30 hours of non stop swimming, Yuko has broken the World Record with 81K and now doing a final lap to make it 82 . The relay continues on thru the night.

We still have 2 more MOO swimmers crossing the lake tomorrow, come out and cheer them on!
